First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to build a schedule that fits your life.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License (current)
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• AHA BLS Current
• AHA ACLS Current
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
