Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a PCU Registered Nurse for an onsite 13-week contract in Eureka, CA. Night shifts are 12 hours long, three days per week, with a total weekly pay that includes a base rate plus stipends.

The RN will care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit, monitor cardiac telemetry, and collaborate with ICU/step-down teams. Requirements include 2+ years of PCU/ICU experience, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, Epic charting experience, and the ability to administer and monitor

Job Title: PCU Registered Nurse (Progressive Care Unit RN)
Location: Eureka, CA 95501
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 3×12-hour shifts (6:0 PM – 6:30 AM; please confirm shift end time)

Job Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience

Required Experience: PCU/Stepdown or ICU experience

Charting System: Epic experience required — HARD STOP

Travel Experience: Not required

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Required Qualifications

Recent Stepdown/PCU or ICU experience

Epic charting experience

Ability to manage cardiac telemetry patients and interpret dysrhythmias

Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring

Preferred Skills

BiPAP/CPAP and non-invasive airway management

Blood product administration

Central line and PICC line management

IV initiation and maintenance

Feeding tube care and management

Management of cardiac drips (no titration)

Cardiac telemetry and emergency response

Isolation precautions and PPE

Pre/post-cardiac surgery care
