Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week PCU travel contract in Kingwood, TX. This night shift offers 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with on-site deployment and weekly stipend structure.

Requirements include active RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH certification, and 1+ year PCU/IMU experience. Proficiency with Meditech Expanse is preferred. Eligible candidates must meet unit-specific competencies and patient care expectations.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIH Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration and RN assessments.
• Reassessments and care planning with the care team.
• Documentation in Meditech Expanse EHR and care of patients post heart cath.

Skill Set Most recruited for:

• Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• IMU/PCU experience a must 1 year plus
• Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• Charge Nurse experience
• Meditech Expanse experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• Thoracentesis
• Chest tubes
• Standard nursing skills: medication administration; RN assessments and reassessments; communication with all members of care team; documentation in EHR-Meditech Expanse, care of patients post heart cath.
