First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital assignments in the Hampton Roads area. You can pick up shifts or build a fuller schedule, choosing Day or Night shifts with per diem pay and flexible scheduling options.

Per diems offer daily or weekly pay, with easy mobilization and local staffing support. Opportunities span multiple hospitals, backed by a locally owned and operated company with over 15 years in service.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment for PCU patients.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.
