First Choice Nurses is seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse for per diem hospital opportunities in the Hampton Roads area, VA. You can pick up shifts that fit your schedule with day and night options and enjoy flexible per diem work.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience within past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other equipment used for PCU patients.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital infection-control and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adapt to different hospital environments and unit needs.
