MercyOne Central Iowa in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Charge RN for the Progressive Care Unit Nights. This full-time role offers a 12-hour night shift (7 PM – 7 AM) and a 36-hour work week, with a collaborative team approach to patient care from admission to discharge.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN licensure
• 1 year nursing experience
• BLS certification within 6 weeks of hire
• Mandatory Reporter training and Abuse training requirements

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care while ensuring patient comfort.
• Practices safe patient handling techniques.
• Continues to evaluate assigned patients and provides ongoing treatment.
• Anticipates and responds to educational and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Guides and directs healthcare personnel in caring for patients.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use and utilizes safety features.
