Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. You will operate within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team alongside licensed and non-licensed staff.

Shift: Monday - Friday 9a-5:30p, on-site. Required: BLS through the American Heart Association; CNA on Georgia Registry or CMA/AMT/NHA CMA; and 1 year of direct patient care experience (CNA, PCT, ED Tech, etc.).

Qualifications

• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
• Active CNA on Georgia Registry or CMA/AMT/NHA CMA certifications accepted.
• At least 1 year of direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to ensure comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and hygiene.
• Work within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team with licensed and non-licensed staff.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Shift: Monday - Friday 9a-5:30p

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• OR
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• OR
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• OR
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

PREFERRED

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
