Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and patient care for comfort, safety and personal needs. You will assist with activities of daily living and hygiene, operating within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team.

The role requires BLS, GA CNA registration or equivalent CMA/RMA/CCMA credentials and at least one year of direct patient care experience. Evening to overnight hours and weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry (CNA GA Registry).
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• One year of patient care experience (CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or similar).

Responsibilities

Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry

OR

• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

OR

• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)

OR

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

PREFERRED

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
