Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and patient care, supporting patient comfort and safety. The role works within a unit-based, self-directed team to perform daily tasks and clinical duties.

Required credentials include BLS and Georgia Registry CNA or CMA/RMA/CCMA, plus at least one year of direct patient care experience. Weekend availability is required, with shift hours from 7A to 7:30P.

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) registered in Georgia or
• one of the following credentials: CMA, RMA, or CCMA.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• OR
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• OR
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• OR
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

PREFERRED

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
