Job summary

Northside Hospital in the Atlanta area is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. You will work within a unit-based, self-directed team and share tasks with licensed and non-licensed staff.

Shift is Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Candidates must hold BLS, GA Registry CNA, or CMA/RMA/CCMA/NHA CMA credentials and have at least one year of direct patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association BLS.
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry or equivalent CMA/RMA/CCMA/NHA CMA.
• One year of patient care experience in CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or similar.

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Shift: Monday - Friday 9a-5:30p

REQUIRED

1. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
2. Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry

OR

Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

OR

Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)

OR

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

1. One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

PREFERRED

1. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
