Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician to deliver nursing support and patient care, ensuring comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. You will assist with activities of daily living and hygiene, working within a unit-based, self-directed team with licensed and non-licensed staff.

The role requires BLS, CNA/ CMA/ RMA / CMA credentials and at least one year of direct patient care experience in acute settings. Weekend work is required; shifts run 7A–7:30P.

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry.
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to promote comfort, safety and personal needs.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Work within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team and collaborate with licensed and non-licensed staff.

Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

• OR
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• OR
