MainStreet Family Care Milledgeville Laboratory is seeking a Laboratory General Supervisor to oversee real-time PCR testing and high-complexity procedures in a fast-paced clinic setting. You will ensure accurate results, maintain quality standards, and support providers and lab techs to deliver timely diagnostics.

The role emphasizes CLIA compliance, documentation in EMR, and collaboration with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• CLIA-compliant laboratory certification or a bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science.
• At least 2 years of clinical laboratory experience including molecular or PCR-based testing.
• Preferred 5 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Experience performing high-complexity real-time PCR testing in a regulated laboratory environment.
• Experience in urgent care, primary care, or high-volume clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform CLIA high-complexity, real-time PCR testing in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements
• Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens
• Accurately document laboratory results in the electronic medical record
• Perform quality control procedures, calibration, and routine maintenance on laboratory equipment
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
• Prepare and manage specimens for internal and external testing as needed
• Monitor laboratory inventory, reagents, and expiration dates
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report testing discrepancies, equipment issues, or quality concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient operations
• Providing supervision for day-to-day test performance
