Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse to oversee nursing staff on the shift and during weekends and holidays, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care.

The RN will use the nursing process for patient assessments, plan care, and perform interventions, collaborating with physicians and other clinicians. BSN preferred; active RN licensure and BLS required. This position may include additional duties within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing is required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC may be required depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Utilize the nursing process for patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in planning and implementing patient care.
• Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.
