Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to supervise nursing staff on shift, including weekends and holidays, ensuring quality patient care and continuity. The RN will apply the nursing process to patient assessments, care planning, and interventions, collaborating closely with Physicians and other clinicians.

Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role. A nursing degree is required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC may be required depending on area.
• Ability to observe, assess, and record safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff on shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality patient care.
• Coordinate activities to maintain continuity of care across shifts.
• Use the nursing process for patient assessments, planning and interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in care planning.
