Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse Full-Time at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery. The RN will supervise nursing personnel on shift, perform assessments, coordinate care, and ensure quality and continuity of patient care.

Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process for patient assessments and care planning, collaborating with physicians, and handling weekend/holiday shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.
• Active RN licensure required, BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC may be required depending on area.
• Ability to observe, assess, and document safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing personnel on shift, and during weekends and holidays, ensuring quality patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in planning and implementing patient care.
• Perform general supervision and coordination duties within the unit.
