Job summary

St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK is seeking a Nursing Student to join the PCCU on a PRN basis. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations and gain hands-on experience under RN supervision.

As a Nurse Tech, you will assemble and operate patient care equipment, monitor changes in patient condition, participate in patient education, and adhere to risk management processes within Universal Health Services.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in and successful completion of the first semester of an accredited Nursing Program.
• To remain at the status of a Nurse Tech, the employee must successfully pass and complete each semester including clinical and theory classes they are enrolled in.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment.
• Must demonstrate each task before performing independently. Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in assembling and operating equipment for patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Keeps appropriate people aware of pertinent changes or problems in patient condition.
• Participates in planned education for the patient per Patient/Family Education policy with consideration of developmental differences.
• Reports variances according to risk management processes of UHS.
