Ultimate Staffing Services seeks a Process Engineer for PCBA, SMT and assembly in Milpitas, CA. This is a full-time, onsite role with a salary range of USD130000 - USD150000 per year plus benefits.

The role involves developing and optimizing PCBA manufacturing processes, supporting NPI, and collaborating across Production, Quality, and R&D to ensure quality, efficiency, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in PCBA/SMT environments.
• Strong knowledge of PCB assembly processes, including SMT and PTH.
• Expertise in PCBA manufacturing and process development.
• Experience with SPC and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Process Development & Optimization: Develop, implement, and validate manufacturing processes for PCBA assembly (SMT and box build).
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Support product launches from prototype to full-scale production; review Gerber files/BOMs for manufacturability.
• Equipment & Tooling Management: Select, qualify, and validate SMT equipment; program and optimize production equipment.
• Quality & Continuous Improvement: Analyze defects and drive corrective actions using 8D, RCA, and FMEA; monitor KPIs (FPY, OEE, yield).
• Documentation & Compliance: Develop SOPs and maintain process data in ERP/MES; ensure IPC-A-610 compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D; provide operator training.
