Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Texas seeks an Automation & Controls Specialist for our PCB manufacturing line (STARLINK). You will troubleshoot complex controls issues, design and integrate with vendor equipment, and improve reliability of production systems.

Responsibilities include integrating equipment into centralized SCADA, maximizing uptime, developing data analysis tools, wiring and commissioning control systems, and creating PLC/HMI software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency with 2+ years in manufacturing; OR bachelor’s in engineering, math, or science.
• 2+ years in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Integrate vendor/OEM equipment into centralized SCADA for advanced line control.
• Maximize uptime of automation assets on manufacturing lines.
• Develop data analysis tools to root‑cause downtime sources and propose long‑term fixes.
• Specify and procure components, sensors, and hardware for implementing controls solutions.
• Wire, commission, and validate electromechanical and pneumatic control systems.
• Design and commission PLC and HMI software and additions to existing systems.
• Interpret and develop logic for Beckhoff TwinCAT, Siemens TIA, and RSLogix.
• Read, understand, and utilize system‑level schematics (mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic).
• Support production devices (HMIs, VM’s, Thin Clients, IoT devices).
