Job summary

SpaceX in Texas is seeking an Automation & Controls Specialist for our PCB manufacturing facility to troubleshoot complex controls issues and implement long-term reliability enhancements. You will also assist in designing new controls components and integrating with vendor equipment.

The role involves wiring and commissioning electrical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems, and developing PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions across Beckhoff TwinCAT, Siemens TIA, and AB RS Logix platforms.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years in manufacturing or a bachelor's degree
Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems

Responsibilities

Integrate vendor/OEM equipment into centralized SCADA software for advanced line control
Maximize uptime of automation assets on manufacturing lines
Develop data tools to root-cause downtime and propose long-term fixes
Spec, procure, and install components for controls solutions
Wire, commission, and validate electromechanical and pneumatic control systems
Design and commission PLC/HMI software for new or existing systems
Work with Beckhoff TwinCAT, Siemens TIA, and AB RS Logix logic
Read and use system schematics (mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic)
Support production devices (HMIs, VM’s, Thin Clients, IoT devices)
