Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Automation & Controls Specialist for our Solar Cell Manufacturing facility in Texas. The role focuses on troubleshooting complex control systems, building electromechanical controls, and integrating vendor equipment with centralized SCADA software.

You will design PLC/HMI solutions and analyze downtime data to drive long-term improvements. Responsibilities include wiring and commissioning control systems, ensuring safety and standards compliance, and

Qualifications

2+ years in manufacturing environment or 4+ years in related field
Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems
Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics

Responsibilities

Integrate vendor equipment into centralized SCADA software (Ignition) for advanced line control
Maximize uptime of automation assets on manufacturing lines
Develop data analysis tools to root-cause downtime sources and propose long-term fixes
Specify and procure components, sensors, and hardware for controls solutions
Wire, commission, and validate electromechanical and pneumatic systems
Design and commission PLC and HMI software applications
Read and interpret system-level schematics
Support production devices (HMIs, VM’s, Thin Clients, IoT devices)
