Job summary

Tenstorrent is seeking a Layout Engineer to own multi-layer PCB layouts for high-performance computing and AI hardware. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure margins meet mass-production standards for data centers, workstations, and consumer products.

Expertise in routing high-speed interfaces such as GDDR, LPDDR, DDR, PCIe Gen5/6, Ethernet, and USB is essential, along with Cadence tools (v25.1/Cadence Pulse). This hybrid role is based in Toronto or Santa Clara.

Qualifications

• Experienced board layout engineer with 8+ years in PCB design and CAD tools.
• Strong background in high-speed, complex PCBs (HDI, multi-lamination, VIPPO).
• Comfortable defining and applying layout rules for high-speed designs.
• Collaborates with fabricators on stackups, DFM/DFA/DFT feedback.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-layer PCB layouts for high-performance computing and AI hardware.
• Route interfaces such as GDDR, LPDDR, DDR, PCIe Gen5/6, Ethernet, USB.
• Define and enforce layout rules, power/ground planes, and PDN strategies.
• Collaborate with power, signal integrity, and mechanical engineers to meet regulatory requirements.
