Job summary

Creare in Hanover, NH seeks an Electronics Engineering Technician with hands-on PCB design experience to join our R&D team. Collaborate with engineers to develop hardware prototypes and support design, procurement, and testing of custom electronics for biomedical, energy, and space applications.

The role emphasizes schematic capture, component selection, documentation packages, board assembly, testing, and rework.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field required.
• 2+ years of experience with PCB design, layout, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and layout of PCBs using industry-standard tools (e.g., OrCAD, Altium Designer, KiCad).
• Support schematic capture and component selection with engineers.
• Prepare fabrication/assembly packages including Gerber files, BOMs, and drawings.
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot PCBs, wiring harnesses, and prototype systems.
• Rework and modify PCBs, including soldering surface-mount and through-hole components.
• Maintain records of design revisions, build notes, and test results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet manufacturing requirements.
