Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer for PCB production to design, build, and optimize control systems for high-speed manufacturing equipment. You will develop PLC code, create user-friendly HMI interfaces, and ensure safety standards are met while integrating pieces into SCADA/MES environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or chemistry.
1+ years of experience with high-speed manufacturing, controls and automation, and/or programming.
Preferred: master's degree and 3+ years experience in similar roles.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and manage automation projects from ideation to hand-off.
Architect, write, and debug PLC code for high-volume manufacturing.
Ensure ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA compliant safety for robots and conveyors.
Create intuitive HMI screens for complex machines.
Integrate equipment into master SCADA and MES systems.
Design electrical systems per NEC/NFPA/UL508A.
Develop schedules and budgets and lead the team toward milestones.
