Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer for PCB production tooling. You will design structures, mechanisms, and automation to enable mass production of printed circuit boards, from initial concept to installation and mass production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• 3+ years designing mechanical systems with 3D CAD, FEA, and 2D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design structures, mechanisms, and automation to enable high-volume PCB production.
• Own projects from concept through fabrication and production readiness.
• Address manufacturability and assembly constraints for PCBs.
• Develop plans, budgets, and cost/benefit analyses for new processes or machines.
• Coordinate with internal SpaceX resources and external vendors to meet timelines and budgets.
