Job summary

Milwaukee Electronics is seeking a detail-oriented DFM & Quote Technician to support manufacturing planning and quoting for PCBAs. You’ll review customer designs, identify manufacturing issues, and coordinate the tooling needed for production.

Working closely with Engineering and Customer Support, you’ll conduct DFM reviews and recommend solutions that support accurate quotes, efficient production, and fewer defects.

Qualifications

• AS degree or 2 years exp with PCBA troubleshooting/repair or SMT programming.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work with customer data.
• Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Problem-solving, data analysis and drawing conclusions.
• Basic math and interpreting performance graphs.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and retain information.
• Commitment to clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Review DFM of customer drawings to assess manufacturability and cost.
• Order SMT tooling and maintain a tooling log.
• Develop tooling recommendations for panelization and production.
• Communicate findings to Customer Support clearly.
• Coordinate with Engineering on tooling concerns for upcoming jobs.
• Review historical job records and provide defect reports.
• Support NPI activities, including BOM loading and 3D tooling printing.
• Develop training materials for colleagues, locally and globally.
• Participate in cross-functional SME meetings on DFM and defects.
• Follow quality policies and Lean initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and dependable on-site attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
