Job summary

Sigmatron International seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support our contract manufacturing facility, focusing on PCB, component, and final system assemblies. You will apply engineering methods to meet customer specifications and optimize production processes.

You will review drawings, Gerber files, and process data to provide accurate labor quotes and drive continuous improvements. DFM feedback, tooling assessment, ECN coordination, and IQ/PQ/VQ qualifications will be key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in Electronic Contract Manufacturing (ECM).
• Defense or medical industry experience a plus.
• Valore DFM Software knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services in contract manufacturing facility for PCBs, components and final assemblies.
• Review customer drawings and Gerber files to provide accurate labor quotes.
• Review processes and yield data to drive continuous improvements.
• Assess manufacturability of customer documentation.
• Provide DFM feedback to customers for new and existing products.
• Review and feedback on errors or omissions in customer AVL.
• Identify tooling and fixtures requirements for production.
• Create Product Manufacturing Process Instructions and binders with BOM/CPG/ECN details.
• Analyze defects and implement corrective actions to reduce future defects.
• Initiate and process ECNs and coordinate with teams to implement changes.
• Lead IQ, PQ, and VX qualifications for processes and equipment.
