Job summary

Benchmark is seeking an assembler to join our Rochester, MN manufacturing team. You will assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and PCBs by following detailed instructions and process sheets, while maintaining quality and a clean, safe work environment.

The role includes mentoring newer teammates and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. With a focus on accuracy and safety, you will work on shift 2 and may perform various hand-tool operations, read electrical drawings, and

Qualifications

• Reads and follows assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in PCB manufacturing.
• Maintains high attention to detail and accuracy in assembling electronics.
• Communicates effectively with team and assists in mentoring less experienced workers.

Responsibilities

• Reads and follows assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacturing of PCBs
• Identifies workmanship and material defects by sight and suggests basic changes to improve operations
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment while performing tasks with care and precision
• Assembles electronic components, assemblies, and modules from samples, visual aids, wiring lists and process sheets
• Maintains accurate material control within the work area
• Performs self-inspection of own work in the immediate area
• Provides timely feedback to operations, management and support engineering as appropriate
• Follows and maintains accurate process documentation
• Assembles PCBs of intermediate complexity
• Uses a variety of tools to perform tasks
• Mentors less skilled employees
