Benchmark in Minnesota is seeking a Manufacturing PCB assembler to assemble and modify electronic components, subassemblies and systems. You will follow assembly prints and instructions to build PCBs and modules, while maintaining quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1+ years in hardware assembly, the ability to read print and perform basic math, and willingness to learn and work with various hand tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in hardware and/or simple optics assembly activities.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Ability to use hand tools to manufacture PCBs and other electronic assemblies.
• Ability to identify electronic components and solder non-conformance.
• Willingness to cross-train and participate in continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Reads and follows assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacturing of PCBs
• Identifies by sight workmanship and material defects in touch-up and assembly areas and may be able to suggest basic changes to the work instructions to improve operations
• Performs tasks with a high degree of care and attention to details while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Assembles electronic components, assemblies, and modules by working from samples, visual aids, wiring lists and process sheets
• Maintains accurate material control within the work area
• Performs inspection of own work in immediate working unit
• Participates in providing timely feedback to other operations, management and support engineering, as appropriate
• Follows and maintains accurate process documentation
• Assemble PCBs of an intermediate complexity
• May use a variety of tools to perform tasks
• Serve as a mentor to lesser skilled employees
