Job summary

Benchmark assembles and modifies electronic components and subassemblies, following detailed instructions to build PCBs and related modules. The role includes mentoring less experienced assemblers and maintaining precise work standards in a safety-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of hardware or optics assembly experience.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Ability to use hand tools and associated devices to manufacture PCBs and other electronic assemblies.
• Ability to learn and master PCB assembly tasks.
• Ability to identify electronic components.
• Ability to identify solder non-conformance and correct them.

Responsibilities

• Reads and follows assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacturing of PCBs.
• Identifies workmanship and material defects and may suggest improvements to work instructions.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Assembles electronic components, assemblies, and modules from samples and process sheets.
• Maintains accurate material control within the work area.
• Performs inspection of own work in the immediate unit.
• Mentors lesser skilled employees.
• Assemble PCBs of intermediate complexity.
