Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to join our Surgical & Orthopedic Unit. Under supervision, you will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support a fast-paced team dedicated to compassionate care.

No prior experience required; Mercy offers a 175-hour training program and a clear career ladder from PCA to PCT, with benefits starting day one and a DAY SHIFT sign-on bonus for full-time hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA/CPTC certification, enrollment in a healthcare career program, or current Mercy co-worker preferred.
• No prior experience required – we will train you!

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs in the electronic medical record
• Assist patients with meals, hygiene, toileting, ambulation, and transport
• Provide clerical support as needed
• PCA/PCT duties include phlebotomy, enteral feedings, wound care, IV/Foley removal, tracheostomy care and suctioning

Education
