Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) for our Surgical & Orthopedic Unit. This full-time, day-shift role supports patients under RN/LPN supervision to achieve the highest wellness and comfort.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs in the EMR, assisting with meals, hygiene, ambulation, and transport, and providing clerical support as needed. The PCT duties may include phlebotomy, wound care, IV removal, and suctioning. $1,500 sign-on bonus for FT day shift.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA/CPTC certification preferred.
• Experience: No prior experience required – we will train you!
• BLS certification: Not specified in ad.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs in the EMR.
• Assist patients with meals, hygiene, toileting, ambulation, and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
• PCA duties and potential PCT duties such as phlebotomy, wound care, IV removal, suctioning.
