Job summary

Nationwide-Children is seeking a Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant in Columbus, OH for a 36-hour work week (0.9 FTE). The role runs 7:00pm–7:30am with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Starting pay is $19.10/hour, plus $2.30/night differential and $1.80 weekend differential. Under supervision of an RN or Care Manager, you will perform basic supportive care, collect vital signs, assist with procedures, and help maintain patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Completion of fundamentals course from an approved nursing program or equivalent certification/experience.
  • Active CNA in the State of Ohio.
  • Current CPR certification (BLS for healthcare provider).

Responsibilities

  • Collect, document, and report vital signs.
  • Assist with procedures and patient handling.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of patient information.
  • Stock, clean, and maintain unit areas; ensure environmental standards.
  • Complete clerical tasks and participate in continuing education.

Job description

Overview:0.9 FTE (36 hours per week). Collects, documents, and reports data to the RN or Care Manager.Job Description:Essential Functions:Collects, documents, and reports vital signs. May complete screening questions and documentation or minor specimen testing as assigned.Promotes general patient safety. Holds and positions patients and assists with procedures. Prepares materials and supplies as delegated.Remains compliant with HIPAA, maintains professionalism, and ensures confidentiality of patient information.Ensures environmental standards are met and all unit and patient areas are stocked, cleaned, and maintained.Performs clerical and administrative tasks as necessary.Completes continuing education and participates in offered educational opportunities.
