Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for a 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week) daytime schedule, 7:00 am–7:30 pm, with every third weekend and holiday rotations. The role provides basic supportive care under an RN or Care Manager, including data collection and reporting for pediatric patients.
Requirements include completion of an approved fundamentals nursing program (or equivalent), active CNA certification, and CPR (BLS).
Performs basic supportive care to specified patients and families under the direction and supervision of an RN or Care Manager. Collects, documents, and reports data to the RN or Care Manager.
Completion of fundamentals course from an approved nursing program, or equivalent certification or experience, required.
One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting within the last three years, or equivalent education or certification, required.
