Nationwide-Children is seeking a licensed RN to work nights (7p–7a) at 0.75 FTE in Columbus, OH. The role requires two years NICU experience and offers a flat pay of $47.80/hr plus $2/hr night differential after orientation.

BSN or an associated degree with intent to obtain BSN within five years, Ohio RN license, and CPR are required. This is a benefits-eligible position within a night shift team.

Qualifications

  • BSN required; may have an Associate degree with plan to obtain BSN within 5 years.
  • Ohio Registered Nurse license in good standing.
  • Current CPR certification; willingness to obtain PALS/NRP/ACLS as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide family-centered nursing care and prioritize safety and quality.
  • Communicate patient needs to LPNs, PCAs, and other staff; delegate as needed.
  • Document per organizational policies and participate in quality improvement activities.

Delegates, directs, oversees and provides developmentally appropriate patient care. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and maintains a current Ohio Nursing License.Job Description:Essential Functions:Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.Assesses individualized patient needs. Communicates patient care needs and priorities to assigned Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Assistants (PCAs), Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health personnel.Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.Education Requirement:BSN; Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.Licensure Requirement:Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of OhioCertifications:Current CPR certification required.
