Job summary

Mass General Brigham invites applications for a Patient Care Assistant II at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital. The role supports the RN with clinical tasks, including blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, dressing applications, and CPR/AED readiness, in a patient‑centered care environment.

Shifts are 8 or 12 hours, with every other weekend and holidays required. The PCA II helps maintain a safe environment, participates in team care, and ensures efficient unit operations while upholding hospital

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or current nursing student with clinical basics.
• Ability to perform basic nursing tasks under RN supervision.
• Strong patient safety awareness and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, clean environment and monitor patient safety; assist with ambulation.
• Support RN with clinical tasks: blood glucose, EKGs, basic dressings.
• Respond to patient calls and maintain timely communication with the RN.
• Assist with admission, discharge, transfer, and patient room organization.
• Document patient data accurately and participate in unit rounds.
