Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Patient Care Assistant II to join the Float Pool at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Jamaica Plain, MA. You will work 8- or 12-hour shifts and support the RN with clinical tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, dressing changes, and patient/family education, with emphasis on safety and patient-centered care throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/PCT) credential required.
• HeartSaver CPR AED certification required.
• English language proficiency and basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, and feeding assistance.
• Take and record vital signs, intake/output, and daily weights.
• Perform EKGs and blood glucose monitoring as directed.
• Respond to patient call lights and coordinate with RN.
