ABA Abeka Academy, Inc. seeks an Elementary Faculty member to deliver Christ-centered, traditional instruction using the Abeka curriculum.
The role involves preparing and assessing lessons, maintaining records, and collaborating with parents, the principal, and other staff to support students’ academic, social, and spiritual growth. Dedicated to Excellence, Committed to Service PCA Elementary Faculty The Elementary Faculty provides students an excellent Christ-centered, traditional education, carefully following the Abeka curriculum. The Faculty member works with the students, parents, and Administration to oversee students' academic, social, and spiritual development. The Faculty member also mentors any interning Teaching Assistants (TAs) assigned to the classroom.
Teach Lessons: Prepare, deliver, and assess highly effective lessons, using the Abeka curriculum to provide students a Christ-centered, traditional education. Ensure students understand and retain concepts, by actively engaging them in the learning process. Provide positive feedback to students to encourage excitement to learn. Maintain accurate records.
Invest in Students: Foster a supportive, structured, well-managed culture of excellence, conducive to academic, social, and spiritual development. Train students to adjust to the classroom setting, to respect authority, and to be kind. Maintain an inviting, clean, motivating classroom through bulletin boards and other decorations.
Communicate with Parents and Principal: Communicate with parents regarding student behavior, goals, progress, and suggestions for improvement at school and/or reinforcements at home. Conduct Parent-Teacher Meetings as scheduled. Assist individual students as needed to encourage progress. Keep Principal informed and seek Director's guidance to achieve objectives.
Assist Other Areas: Perform other assigned duties, such as teaching help classes. Monitor student behavior in a variety of school settings to provide a safe and positive environment. Mentor TAs assigned to the classroom. Attend faculty meetings and teacher conferences.
