Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care as per plan of care in the 5 Cities area. Competitive pay with weekly paychecks, benefits, and a focus on safe, compassionate patient support.

Qualifications

• Meets all state and federal training requirements applicable to home health aides.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care provided.
• Current CPR certification as required by state regulations.
• Completion of Maxim competency program and Maxim screening examinations.
• Must meet federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with care per plan of care: bathing, hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
• Take and record vital signs when ordered and competent to do so.
• Support safe transfers, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Observe patient condition and report changes to the nurse supervisor.
• Maintain patient safety and document care accurately including daily tasks.

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Home Health Aide (HHA) in the 5 Cities area to provide personal care services, as necessary, to meet the patient’s needs.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following:
  • Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
  • Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
  • Exercise according to the plan of care
  • Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  • Patient’s laundry
  • Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
  • Observation and teaching of home safety practices
  • Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
• Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
• Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
• Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor

Requirements:

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
