HOURS & SALARY: Full-time, 38 hours per week, with a pay range of $23.10 – $34.64 per hour depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist staff and patrons with technology-related questions, troubleshooting, and access to library systems and equipment.

2. Install, configure, maintain, and inventory technology equipment, including workstations, laptops, peripherals, and related software.

3. Support network, internet, and system connectivity needs by monitoring performance, coordinating service requests, and assisting with issue resolution.

4. Research, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions that address operational needs, improve service delivery, and support long-term planning.

5. Develop and provide technology training, guidance, and support materials to help staff and patrons use digital tools effectively.

6. Maintain confidentiality, security, and compliance when handling technology systems, user information, and organizational data.

7. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Associate degree from an accredited college or 3 years of relevant experience; and

Certification in one or more of the following:

  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Server+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • CompTIA CySA+
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Course work or preparation for professional IT certification.
  • Relevant associate-level IT certification.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Must have a current driver’s license valid in the State of Wyoming or the ability to obtain one within six months.
  • Proficiency with a variety of hardware, both old and new, and software programs including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, scheduling and calendaring, communications, internet, etc.
  • Above-average troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure devices.
  • Ability to work quickly under limited supervision, with an aptitude for detailed work and proficiency in prioritizing tasks.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to train all levels of users.

WORK SCHEDULE

Work schedules are predominantly office hours but may also include evenings and weekends. Employees must be available to work anytime the library is open.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The essential duties and responsibilities of this job require the employee to be capable of moving computers and related peripheral equipment from one location to another as well as stooping, bending and lifting. Fine hand motor coordination is needed.
