Job summary

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas is seeking a PBX Operator PRN to handle inbound and outbound calls and monitor emergency alarms. You will work with a team that prioritizes patient care and supports each other as a family.

Responsibilities include activating pagers for cardiac care units, PA system use, and providing clerical support across departments while answering calls and emergency codes. A high school diploma and 1+ year on a switchboard are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• A minimum of one year of experience on a multiple-position telephone switchboard.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to identify customer service issues and assist with resolution.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Computer literate.
• Work independently and is self-directed and motivated.
• Communicate with people in an effective, pleasant tone of service.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming and outgoing calls as PBX operator.
• Respond to emergency requests for cardiac care units and resuscitation teams by activating pagers and PA system.
• Provide productive clerical support to departments while handling calls and emergency codes (organization, labeling, laminating, mask preparations, etc.).

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a PBX operator, you are responsible for incoming and outgoing calls. You will monitor all emergency alarms and notifies necessary personnel. Additionally, in this role:

• You will respond to handle emergency requests for cardiac care units and resuscitation teams by activating pagers, utilizing the public address system, and following established procedures.
• You will be responsible for providing productive clerical support to various departments within the organization that can be performed while answering incoming and outgoing calls and emergency codes. These duties include but are not limited to organizing, labeling, laminating, mask preparations, and other duties as assigned by leadership.
