Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA, is seeking a part-time Switchboard/Customer Service Associate to support after-hours calls and answer needs for patients, families, and staff. You will maintain call logs, know hospital codes, and forward information efficiently while delivering courteous, professional service.

The role requires basic computer skills, English proficiency, and strong communication. Nights, weekends, and holidays are included in flexible scheduling, with comprehensive benefits from day

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of computer systems.
• Must be proficient in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Customer service skills required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Attention to reading, writing and computer tasks.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to answer calls promptly and accurately.
• Knowledge of basic insurance concepts preferred.
• Bi-lingual abilities preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability and willingness to adapt to change.
• Clear and precise speaking abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Forwards calls promptly to proper departments, patient rooms, or staff as necessary.
• Understands and responds to all codes and alarm systems.
• Updates and maintains all on call lists for staff when notified of changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ years’ experience handling high-volume telephone or customer service interactions in a fast-paced environment [Required]
• 1+ years’ experience in switchboard operations. [Preferred]

Pay Range

$14.44 - $21.66
