Job summary

Jackson Walker, LLP is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support payroll and timekeeping operations. You will assist with payroll processing, review adjustments, and ensure accurate, timely payroll for employees across the firm.

The role involves training employees and supervisors, generating reports, and coordinating with HR, Benefits, Accounting, and other departments to maintain payroll integrity and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in payroll, accounting, human resources, or related administrative work involving detailed records and deadlines.
• Experience with payroll processing, timekeeping, and HRIS applications is preferred.
• Familiarity with confidentiality requirements and data security in payroll operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with semi-monthly, monthly, off-cycle, bonus, and special payroll runs.
• Enter and validate approved payroll adjustments, deductions, and taxable benefits.
• Review payroll reports for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
• Ensure new hires, terminations, leaves, and payroll events are reflected in the correct cycle.
• Maintain organized payroll files and support audit documentation.
