Job summary

Herschend Family Entertainment is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to lead a three-person payroll team in a fast-paced multi-state environment, ensuring accurate, timely processing and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

The role requires strong leadership, a customer-service mindset, and experience with UltiPro or Workday; you will drive process improvements, support audits, and train new hires. This position reports to the Payroll Manager and embodies our Leading with Love culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 2–3 years' progressive accounting/finance experience; full-cycle payroll preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, and compliance.
• Experience with multi-state payroll is preferred.
• Experience with UltiPro (UKG) and/or Workday is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the payroll team in a manner consistent with the company culture.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing across multiple states.
• Review and approve payrolls before finalization and resolve errors.
• Coordinate with Payroll Coordinators and IT for system issues and timelines.
• Lead quarter- and year-end payroll tax activities and audits.
• Train new payroll hires and provide backup coverage to Payroll Manager.
