Job summary

Jobot seeks a Payroll & Tax Specialist for a 2-month contract in San Antonio, TX. You will own end-to-end payroll processing in Dayforce, including audits, reconciliations, and adjustments for 200+ employees in a fast-paced environment.

The role is on-site initially with the potential to transition to a hybrid arrangement after training. Strong Dayforce experience, advanced Excel skills, and multi-state payroll familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Recent hands-on Dayforce payroll processing experience is REQUIRED.
• Must have personally run payroll within Dayforce; supervisor-only experience will not qualify.
• Experience independently processing weekly payroll.
• Hands-on 401(k) payroll deduction and reconciliation experience.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll directly within Dayforce.
• Prepare, enter, review, and validate payroll data.
• Upload and validate bonuses, commissions, incentives, and other variable compensation.
• Perform pre-payroll audits to identify errors prior to submission.
• Complete post-payroll audits and payroll reconciliations.
• Research and correct payroll discrepancies quickly and accurately.
• Assist with payroll reporting and related reconciliations.
• Work with hourly and salaried employee populations.
• Maintain accuracy while meeting strict payroll processing deadlines.
• Utilize Excel for payroll audits, reconciliations, and data validation.
