Job summary

Stivers is hiring a Payroll Tax Analyst to join our Cleveland-area team. You will own payroll tax activities, monitor federal, state, and local compliance, and ensure accurate reporting of employees and financial records.

Responsibilities include processing payroll on time, reconciling GL accounts, and collaborating with HR on records and benefits. Strong Excel skills and MasterTax familiarity are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in payroll tax, filings, reporting and compliance.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Experience preparing year-end tax documents such as W-2s.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time under federal, state, and local rules.
• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and verify entries.
• Review payroll data to spot discrepancies and suggest improvements.
• Partner with HR to maintain employee records and benefits data.
• Prepare payroll forecasts, reports and key metrics for budgeting.
