Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of payroll tax accounting or payroll tax compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems and tax filing software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies with payroll and finance teams.
  • Prepare and file accurate federal, state, and local 940/941 amendments and W-2Cs if needed.
  • Monitor changes in payroll tax legislation and implement adjustments to processes.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities during audits.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for audit readiness.
  • Analyze payroll tax data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support timely and accurate payroll tax deposits and reporting.
