Job summary

Sci Corp is seeking a Payroll Systems Manager to lead the technology, systems, integrations, and controls supporting the Payroll organization. You will ensure the Workday Payroll ecosystem is stable, scalable, and positioned for growth.

The role partners with Payroll Operations, Tax, Accounting, Benefits, HRIS, Finance, IT, and vendors to drive continuous improvement and effective governance across changes, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7+ years in payroll systems, HRIS, or enterprise tech.
• Experience with Workday or similar systems.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to translate technical concepts to business terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Payroll Systems team and set priorities.
• Own the Payroll Systems roadmap and enhancements.
• Provide functional leadership for Workday Payroll configuration.
• Oversee payroll integrations with Benefits, Time, Tax, GL.
• Establish governance for changes, testing, and deployment.
• Partner with Payroll Operations to resolve production issues.
• Lead root-cause analysis and remediation of recurring issues.
• Maintain system controls, access governance, data integrity, and audits.
• Lead payroll technology workstreams for enterprise projects.
• Evaluate automation, AI, and emerging technologies.
• Develop reporting and analytics for payroll operations and risks.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners.
• Reduce single points of failure through documentation and knowledge transfer.
