Job summary

Service Corporation International in Houston is seeking a senior Payroll Systems lead to develop and execute a short-term Workday Payroll strategy, driving enhancements and timely releases.

You will configure, test, and manage Workday modules, partner with stakeholders across Finance and IT, oversee daily team activities, and ensure SOX controls and budget alignment. Desirable CPP certification and six years of relevant experience. Experience with enterprise software configuration a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS or equivalent required; CPP preferred/required.
• At least six years of enterprise software configuration experience with payroll.
• Workday Payroll analytics experience including project managing testing and software releases.
• Experience with SOX 404 internal controls for payroll.

Responsibilities

• Develop short-term Payroll Systems strategy to address issues and increase efficiencies.
• Design, configure, test, and manage Workday Payroll modules and software release changes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather enhancements and manage change.
• Manage day-to-day activities, priorities, and initiatives of the Systems team.
• Prepare annual operational and personnel budgets.
