Job summary

TBG | The Bachrach Group is partnering with a large organization to hire a Payroll Systems Manager to lead a growing payroll systems team and drive Workday Payroll strategy, configuration, enhancements, testing, and releases.

The role requires deep Workday Payroll configuration experience, leadership of a systems team, and collaboration with Payroll, HRIS, IT, and Finance to improve processes and controls. CPP certification is a non-negotiable requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS or related field.
• 6+ years enterprise software configuration experience.
• 4+ years Workday Payroll analytics experience including project managing testing and software releases.
• Leadership experience managing teams.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).

Responsibilities

• Lead a Payroll Systems team and support growth.
• Manage Workday Payroll configuration, enhancements, and releases.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Payroll, HRIS, IT, and Finance.

We are partnering with a large, well-established organization seeking a Payroll Systems Manager to lead a growing payroll systems team and drive Workday Payroll strategy, configuration, enhancements, testing, and releases.

About the job

Develop short-term Payroll Systems strategy to address issues and increase efficiencies. Design, configure, test, and manage Workday Payroll modules and software release changes. Facilitates project manages initiatives that improve operations and efficiencies. Collaborate, obtain input from stakeholders on enhancements, and facilitate change management. Manage the day‑to‑day activities, processes, priorities, and initiatives of the Systems team.

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience
• At least six (6) years Enterprise Software configuration experience with increasing responsibilities
• At least 4 years Workday Payroll analytics experience including project managing testing and software releases
• Leadership experience managing teams
• Payroll systems, testing, upgrades, and release management experience
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
