Job summary

Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ, is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to act as the main contact for team members and department managers during payroll cycles.

You will also directly handle bi-weekly payroll processing when the Payroll Manager is unavailable, oversee timekeeping audits, and ensure compliance with labor laws and CBAs. Mentoring Payroll Reps and managing garnishments are key duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3+ years of payroll experience.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll and federal/state regulations.
• Experience with payroll systems and Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work independently under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain employee/payroll records.
• Audit timekeeping records for accuracy and conformance with standards.
• Process bi-weekly payroll cycle from time import to file submission.
• Audit time from time and attendance system.
• Monitor updates to employee records affecting payroll.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, CBAs, federal/state taxes, policies.
• Audit and ensure payroll staff accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle wage garnishments and respond to inquiries from courts/agencies.
• Provide training to new Payroll Reps and mentor staff.
• Direct monthly benefit and dues reporting for unions and other deductions.
• Act as liaison for discrepancies when manager is unavailable.
